DUI charges?
I was hoping someone could give me a nice simple answer as to what would happen if you where to be charged with a DUI [in the state of Colorado]. It would be the persons first offense.
Looking into it for something I’m planning on writing, and was having difficulties finding a clear answer.
It would be impossible to give an exact answer without knowing all the charges, circumstance, and driving record.

Either its DUI 4th or DUI with injuries, other wise it would NOT be a felony in California!
And to get 16 months, it has to be VC 23558- DUI with injuries punishable up to 3 years in state prison.

Unless there was death involved, no one should be going to jail for a first offense.

I don’t understand why these athletes who have private jets, limos, lackies can’t find a way to get home.
I mean if he really had to, he could even call George Karl to pick him up. I’m sure he would rather pick up Carmelo then put the whole team under the interview microscope.

How dumb is Melo Anthony for getting the DUI charges?
I cannot believe how stupid Carmelo Anthony is, I mean common your team is fighting to get into a playoff and he’s out late till 4 a.m. and get the DUI charges, wow. Should the Nuggets suspend him 1 game for their first round of the playoff against the Lakers? What your thought?

In Colorado you lose your license for a year, get large fines, mandatory driving classes, and can get up to 400 hours community service or up to a year in prison.
In my opinion, all drunk drivers should go directly to prison. They decided to risk my family’s lives on the idea that their right to have fun outweighs others right to get home safely. Drunkeness/alcoholism is not a disease, it is a choice.
