I have my US Visa Interview for a B2 Travel Visa on 13/03/2009 and I have a recent DUI conviction from a vacation in the US, I have a completely clean record apart from that and I have paid my fines. The Embassy's website says to take court records with me that show:
1. the nature of the offense(s) committed
2. the section(s) of law contravened
3. the actual penalty imposed.

What would be the best documents for me to take?
I have my Probation Order which shows my penalty imposed. I have my Notice to Defendant which shows the section(s) of the the law contravened. But the only thing I have that shows the nature of the offense committed (I take is this is the description of the events?? ) is a copy my plea bargain agreement that I was sent to sign. Will this be enough??? Is there some other document I should try and get hold of?

Well, these days, the court records will certainly help, but you’ll still need to see a psychiatrist to verify that this isn’t addictive behavior and isn’t likely to reoccur, assuming the officer intends to approve you for the visa. You’ll have to pay extra for the privilege of the exam as well. They take DUI convictions a lot more seriously than they used to. But chances are very good you’ll do ok with the exam.
