If a dui ticket is dismissed, does it also dismiss a conviction from the dmv or dept of revenue?

My husband got a dui about a month ago. The ticket was dismissed but we just got a letter from the dept of revenue saying that his license is suspended and he will have to meet all of these requirements to get it back. I am wondering if all this is still valid since the court dismissed the ticket?...

It wasn’t the ticket that was dismissed, it was the criminal charge of driving while impaired. I think everything should go away if the charge was dismissed.

Bear in mind, however, that the fact the charge was dismissed does not necessarily mean that that your husband is innocent. It just means that the judge ruled that there was not enough evidence to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that your husband was driving while he was drunk.

The most likely explanation is that DMV and Revenue did not know, at the time they sent out the letter, that the charge had been dismissed.

Well flat out If he was not proven guilty in a court of law he is automatically innocent. If not proven guilty they can’t suspend his license even if their was compelling evidence to convict. His ticket was dismissed which I assume means they found him not guilty. If thats the case if the DMV is trying to suspend his license its without cause and you should take legal action.

If they have a hearing as an option get a lawyer and you’ll want to get the records from the court showing the charge was dismissed. They give a hearing in CO first.
