How do I apply for a pardon from the governor for first time conviction for a DUI in Georgia?

I was convicted of a DUI on July 16 of 2008. It is my first offense and I was told that I could possibly apply for a pardon from the govenor of georgia. I dont have a job to pay all of the fees, and I cant pay them right now because I cant find a job. Does anyone know anything about this? ...

    you could try writing a letter to the Governor.. but it is very highly doubtful that you will be real lucky to get a pardon from that conviction
    you could ask the court if you can do community service for the fine..

    I cannot imagine a govenor would make it a practice to pardon people for drunk driving. Can you imagine how much of a field day their political opponents would have with that information? You could write a letter but you’d be better off asking the court for some other options like community service. You may be able to take some classes or something as well.
