Can i visit Canada from the USA if i have a dui conviction on my driving record ?

I was told that if i have a dui on my driving record i cannot visit Canada. That they will not let me cross the border . Is this true ? ...

   Yes. It's one of the first questions the Canadian boarder officials will ask. If you answer truthfully that you've had a DUI, you wil not be able to enter Canada.
