It’s very unlikely. First of all, the school issues the I-20, not immigration or the US embassy in your country. But you have to be properly registered through USCIS to change schools and retain your student status in the US. Multiple charges could cause problems, because among other things it might indicate you have a medical problem with alcohol. So, try hard not to do it again, for your safety, and ours.
I hope not..
I am pretty sure it can. They will look to your academic records as well as others factors. They may overlook it since you already have a I-20 but I doubt it. My ex-bf had a I-20. When he needed a new one, it was denied only because he had failed 2 classes. He had to go through a process and explain himself. They finally decide to give it back to him but he stayed on a type of probation. My advice: search for a lawyer or even an advisor for international students in your schools. They will know how you can deal with this situation. Good luck!
With conviction they can deny your renewal of the I-20.
Actually the only people that is not at risk of being denied renewal under a status are citizens.
This doesn’t mean thet they will do but is very likely to happen. Sorry buddy you need to demonstrate you’ll be a RESPONSIBLE resident/future citizen…
We don’t really need more felons in this country.
the only way it will affect you is if the courts contact immigration and this they will do then it will be up to an immigration judge to decide what to do i would say your chances are 80% deniel and possible deportation
