Can a US citizen visit Canada if their DUI was more than ten years ago?

I am taking the train from Seattle to Vancouver, BC and my friend has a DUI conviction from around ten years ago. Will he be denied entry at the border? Any advice helpful. We leave in a couple days. ...

    The only sure way is to get a pardon. Otherwise it’s hit or miss.

    No.

    Canada considers driving while drunk to be a felony conviction.

    If does NOT matter how long ago he was convicted, he will NOT be admitted to Canada. He should stay home.

    Did he settle it court already? If not, then check on what’s called the statue of limitations. But, the best way is to settle this through the courts system first. Call a lawyer before going on your trip.
