Our state just passed a law where if you’ve received a DUI, you have to have this device installed in your vehicle. It’s basically like a breathalyzer and if you’re over the legal limit, the device will not allow your vehicle to start.

I agree all the cops should all stay at one spot so I can avoid them easier while I drive home drunk.

DUI checkpoints are unconstitutional, no matter what the Supreme Court thinks. A cop can’t pull you over unless he actually thinks you’ve done something wrong. Simply pulling everybody over who they have no evidence against doesn’t make it any less wrong.

Yea your flaw is by saying "permanent."

If people knwo where these "permanent" check points are, drunk drivers can take a different path. And the Highway Patrol would just be wasting more tax money than we need.
