Why do you get in so much trouble for a DUI and some people get off "FREE" for serious charges?
Getting a DUI, the legal level is only .08 percent - ACTUALLY people that is low you can have 1 beer and get in all this serious trouble, but then read in the daily newspaper people getting off scott free from really serious charges!!! whats up with that??? ...

Its about lawyers and proof.
Lawyers can’t help you much when you were driving erratically and they give you a breathalyzer test that shows you were well over the limit because the proof is loud and clear.
Lawyers can however discredit say women who claim rape because the proof is what that woman says and a woman could be a known liar or druggie who maybe just doesn’t remember it was wanted sexual contact. Because of things like this lawyers can get people deals because the ones charging them with the crime are afraid if it goes to trial the person will be let go. The criminal accepts a little bit rather then going to trial because they know there’s a chance they could be found guilty.
First of all, research all over the world has shown that a blood alcohol level of .08 is the level at which serious impairment of driving ability occurs. Below that, you are USUALLY okay, above that level you are a risk to others on the road. Thousands of people each year die due to idiots who believe they are safe to drive, most of them barely at or over .08.
Secondly, since we have no idea what ‘serious charges you think people get off scott free, we can’t comment. n actual fact, people found guilty of serious charges NEVER get off scott free .
DUI is serious. You could have killed someone. What’s more serious than that?
