What are the charges for not paying dui fine in california?

I got a DUI in august of 09 and i have been going to my classes and did house arrest and thought everything was going good and checked my record and i have a bench warrent. When i went to court the judge said I was good to go so I left without setting up my fine payment thinking it would come after ...





I got a DUI in august of 09 and i have been going to my classes and did house arrest and thought everything was going good and checked my record and i have a bench warrent. When i went to court the judge said I was good to go so I left without setting up my fine payment thinking it would come after i finished the classes. (this is the first time i have got in trouble) So now what should I do? help please.

    First, if you have a probation officer, contact him ASAP and find out what happened, since the PO should have set up a payment schedule. If you do not have a PO, you should contact the attorney who represented you, and then go to court. Voluntarily appearing is a LOT better than getting arrested. If you have the money for the fine, bring it with you.

    The only options would be to pay the fines or schedule a payment plan, they want the money not you, if you check the judge probably scheduled a pay or appear hearing if you pay it it is over.~

    Did you get any court order form at the end of appearing? There should be a pink (or yellow) paper stating what you will need to do including fines and any other penalties. They are usually very good at collecting those. You might want to check with your local court and ask them. Bring your case number and find out specific details that they want you to do. If they missed then it’s their fault, but you would always need to make sure there is no eventual harm on your side even if they forgot…
