What are my chances of getting my 2 year old DUI charge dropped so i can join the Navy?

I was charged with this offense about 2 and a half years ago. all fines were immediatly paid for, and 6 months of Alcohol classes taken. Ive been desperatly trying to enter the navy for over a year. This is the only thing standing in my way. Will the judge understand?

    No. The military is not a way for you to "fix" your legal situations. It would not be fair if you got that crime erased/dropped because you joined the military.

    You did the crime and now you will live with the consequences of your actions.

    Why won’t they give you a waiver for a DUI?

    you should be able to get a waiver from the Navy. they are desperate and need people these days. Im actually surprised they wont take you now.

    A DUI charge is waiverable for the Army and the Navy.
    You have been trying for a year eh ? Must not have tried talking to a recruiter or you would be enlisted by now.
