Lowered DUI Charge to obstruction of a roadway. Will I have to still pay on my license?

I got a DUI this past December in Texas. Recently the charge was lowered to Obstruction of a Roadway and I got 18 months of probation. My license is suspended until December as well because I refused the blow and blood tests. Will I still have to pay the 1000 dollars on my license for 3 years?? ...

Most states these days separate the administrative action on your license from the criminal proceedings.

Basically meaning, anything that happens in court has nothing to do with the action the state takes on your license. They do that for occasions like this. The state has decided that you don’t need to be driving and they don’t care if you or your lawyer managed to talk the court into a reduced charged. They know you were still DWI, so they are going to keep you suspended.

Obstruction of a roadway is something like stopping into the middle of the road and holding up traffic.
