He wasn’t driving, why would he get punished?
In that state, I guess it’s a violation to be intoxicated in a car with the driver, but that probably means a fine, big deal.
The guy behind the wheel is the one that needs to get the hit, but how much have we heard about him?
How many DUI’s do you think happened in that state? Why is it that McNair needs to be nailed to the wall more than any of the other violators? Was his crime actually worse than anyone else that gets busted? Or he deserves harsher penalty because he is an NFL player?
I doubt that he will.. He might be fined by the league but i doubt that he will get suspended.. and if he does, then Goodell is just takin this power over the top. ‘
I doubt it. He made poor judgment in getting into a vehicle with an impaired driver but he was not driving and has apologized. I say leave him alone because he is not a repeat offender.
He might, Jared Allen of the Chiefs got a 4 game suspension for his DUI (it was his 2nd, though). McNair’s also has some odd circumstances like the fact that he wasn’t driving. I figure Goodell can look at it 2 ways:
1) McNair was smart and didn’t drive intoxicated. No suspension needed.
2) McNair made a bad choice and let someone else who was intoxicated drive him home, which is against the law in Tennessee. All the suspensions that have been handed out are due to bad decisions (not necesarrily convictions). So if the Commish sees it this way I would expect at least 2 games.

From the NFL or Justice, or Both???

And leave Mike Vick alone!!
I can’t see him being penalized with anything more than a fine at most. He won’t miss any games due to a suspension.
