In most states Game Wardens are part of the department of Wildlife and Fisheries and are sworn police officers, in Louisiana (where i live) they have state police jurisdiction and often do DUI checkpoints and even do speeding cheks, they do these mainly around camp grounds and popular party camp areas like lakes that attract jet skiers and vacationers, i think they have the neatest police vehicles, they get f-250s with lights and everything including off road tires (this is coming from somebody who has a colorado for a police unit)
