I was just wondering if you did go to the DMV office before your dui police report was filed, and furthermore if you scheduled a hearing and it had not already taken place, would they already know about your arrest and the confiscation of your physical license? Could you actually renew your license before the information leaked out and receive another one via mail before they suspend you?
Did you notice that most patrol cars have computer terminals now? That is so it can go into the system immediately when you are arrested and your license is taken.
And, my opinion, looking for loop holes to keep your license is the kind of thinking that will keep you in trouble. Own up to it and do the right thing.
That is illegal and your hearing judge will not look kindly to your attempt. There will be records if you entered a jail cell; and grounds for such will be noted.
