A lot depends on how old you were when you got it, and what the consequences were. If it was a felony dui and you were convicted, then you probably can’t teach at a public school. If it was a misdemeanor and your record has stayed clean, you could probably apply. Right now, the economy is so bad that they’re looking for any way to reject people, but this won’t last forever.
