People who have diabetes will often release alcohol into their systems and it will be picked up by a breathalizer. You might want to go to a doctor to have your blood sugar checked, because if that's the cause…not only could that get you out of the DUI, but you need to be treated for the diabetes.

What type of test did you take? In Ca the breathalyzers used for breath tests are called EPAS and all are linked to the Ca DOJ. They require two tests out of three be within .02 for the test to be considered valid. So when through discovery they provide you with the DOJ report it should show the tests that were given an at what times. When you say you passed I am assuming it read .00, also how old are you because Ca has a .00 rule for anyone under 21.
