You can compare how the insurance quotes would change, for example here – autoinsurance.undonet.com

  2. Are you Kidding ME? says:

Ever hear the term "one will be appointed for you"..you will be paying fines up the azz!

    Definately hire a lawyer

having been in and out of jails and state prisons most of my life (2 DUI’s) I can tell you for a fact it is always better to have a good lawyer anytime you go to court for anything.
    good luck

Find a reputable defense attorney. If you cannot afford an attorney, the court will appoint one for you after you have filled out a form to determine if you are qualified.

There’s an old saying that anyone who represents himself in court has a fool for an attorney.

I think you get the message. Better to pay the fees than to botch it all up yourself and lose a lot more.

    It’s a tough call

MADD has pretty much made accusation = guilt in DUI cases, so the odds of beating it are quite low, no matter how much you spend

but the court system has done a pretty good job of keeping their lawyer buddies wealthy by reducing/negotiating pernalties for those with a good lawyer, although in some states, there is a standard deal for first offenders

you might call the prosecutor and ask what the penalty is for a first offense guilty plea, BUT DO NOT DISCUSS YOUR CASE OR ADMIT GUILT!!!!!!!!!
