How long will my drivers license stay suspended in California? Got a DUI 9 years ago,never went to AA classes.

I do not know where to post this question, figured maybe here. I got the DUI 9 years ago (it was my second) and was required to complete an 18 month AA program. I never went, but I did go to jail and paid all the fines (almost 00). I was living in California at the time. I don't live there any more and need info on getting it back. I went to the DMV here in Nevada and they said I have to resolve the issue in CA. Does anyone know what I need to do to get it back? Do I still need to complete an 18 month program after 9 years? I don't even drink at all anymore, so I don't need some class. Been lucky for 9 years, but would like my license back now.

you should call the court clerks office in the city where this happened to find out what it is you need to do to get your liscence back.If you was ordered to take a program and did not do it then you havent actually finished everything you need to do.See if you can get it transfered to the state you live in now.

The license was suspended by the DMV, not the Courts. The Courts can’t help you with it. DMV will not reissue the license until you complete the DDP classes.
