Does anyone know if a dui warrant in California applies in other states too?

I heard that there are some other states such as Montana and a few others that simply do not care about your California warrant or a dui suspended license and other infractions like this.. Is this really true? Which states are these?

Every state will honor any DUI Warrant and/or Suspended Licensed from any other US jurisdiction.

So you heard wrong, that information you got is false (at least in relationship with DUI Warrants and Suspended Licenses).

Yes , DUI and DWI are the only traffic infractions that get reported from state to state

Any state receiving federal highway money-all 50-will pick up on any dui warrant.

If an arrest warrant has been issued, it’s likely that your license has been suspended, too. So if you’re stopped in another state, they will have the suspension on file. That can get you arrested for driving on a suspended license.

Rarely does a state arrest someone on a misdemeanor warrant from another state, no matter what they say on Y!A. Just not worth the paperwork and time involved for a state that’s unlikely to come get you for a simple misdemeanor. Felony warrants? That’s a different story and it has nothing to do with the reason for the warrant.

ALL state DMV’s are connected with a ‘national’ computer, therefore, all they have to do is put your name into the computer and everything will show up (no matter which state you left from). At this point, it is up to the current state to either give you their driver’s license or not.
