ok heres the deal i dont want any answers telling me to contact a lawyer. i already know i need to do that and i am. if you don’t know the answer to my question please just don’t answer. i’m not trying to be mean or anything i just don’t need those answers. thank you.

ok now i was arrested for DUI. when the office asked me to take a breathalyzer test i said i will but can my mother be here (im only 19) he said ok went to call her she didnt answer then he just got back in the car and drove to the jail. when we got there and he showed me his report it said i refused the test. i told him right there i didnt refuse i just wanted my mother there and i had no problem with taking it. he said don’t worry about it because it just had to be worded that way. now to me it seems as if he did something wrong because in my eyes i didnt refuse and he never asked me if i would take one without her there. i think he messed up.
so my question is if we go to court what do you think will happen as far as that story goes with the breathalyzer test?
will they be able to say i really refused it?
is it a slip up on his part?

remember i already know what i did was wrong i dont need a counseling session and i already know i need to get a lawyer regardless i am just trying to get some idea of how that is going to be taken in court before hand.
thank you
i felt that asking for my mother to be there was the same thing as asking for my attorney to be there. i just wanted some one else there because i had never done that before and just wanted to make sure the cops were doing everything right.

Who offers the cheapest auto insurance for a person with a dui? Just curious, my friend got a quote from Geico at 5 a month.

I have not dranked since then.i have not been to court or got in touch with i’t was about ten years ago.since then i have parkson; bipolar high blood pressure. so i can’t drive because of the medication. I don’t want to drive any more but would like to know if i could be arrested . I’m not going to call them i’t been ten years. I live Louisiana.

Ok sooo, He’s 16, almost 17. He got arrested for DUI, possesion of marijuana, resisting arrest, etc. In other words, him && his friends decided to be retards and go get drunk, then drive around town and throw rocks at people, haha.
Anyway, what will happen to him? He lives in NC if that makes a difference. & He’s been arrested about 2 times before this, but they let him out the next day. just little things like shoplifting.

My 20 year old brother was drinking last night(apparently a lot) with his friends in Santa Cruz california. Today he drove home (about a 2 to 3 hour drive home) He was almost home and got puuled over for speeding. He was aressted for a DUI. He breathed a BAC of .14 at 3:45 p.m. I think he’s screwed. ANyone have any advice that would help ANd what he might expect to be facing. He also wants to be a fireman but is now afraid that he is screwed because of this. He didn’t think that he was still drunk because he drank last night. He just thought he was hungover.
He is really a good kid and hasn’t been in trouble before and wouldn’t have driven if he knew that he would blow any BAC number

When I was 18 I got into a drinking and driving accident and was ticketed a dui. I think it was a felony because I blew a .15 or higher. Now I am 29 and wanted to get my Master’s in teaching but I just read on the application "have a history free of convictions of criminal miseameanors and/or felonies" does this mean I cannot teach?

Last night I was pulled over for "Failing to Maintain Proper Lane" at 2:30 in the am. The officer asked if I wore contacts then asked me to get out of my car. I ended up blowing a 0.053, but I’m only 20 and won’t be 21 for 3 weeks. The legal limit for under 21 is 0.02. I was arrested and taken to the Forsyth County Jail. I never went into a cell. I was there for about 3 hours. They let me leave with my license and my keys. I drove home but I should I technically still have been drunk? Why did they not follow procedures? Is my license suspended? By time I go to court I will be 21. I am charged with DUI, underage consumption and Failure to maintain lane. Also, the cop was emailing on his laptop while driving me to the jail. Should I bring that up or not?
I had one drink. In 3 weeks a 0.053 will be ok. No, the cop was emailing on of his coworkers about his father and personal stuff. I read them.
Excuse me db30344, my dad is a cop and I love my dad! So I certainly do NOT hate cops! You’re the moron!

If one is a partner in a small airplane, what effect would a potential DUI/DWI have on current insurance rates?

I received a dui for marijuana which is a misdemeanor, the city of gilbert is charging me for this. however, superior court in mesa is charging me for the actual marijuana that caused the dui that i had on me which is a class 6 felony. i guess i’m just confused as to why i’d have to submit to 2 court processes for the same incident, different charges but the same incident.
