So over the weekend I was involved in a car accident which landed me in the hospital with a 'baby' DUI. I was originally charged with a regular DUI, but apparently they messed up on that and since I'm not 21 it's not a real one.
I blew a .19 on the breathalyzer, and on the blood test a .09. So they re-cited me with a baby dui and MIP.
I'm in Nebraska and I'm just wondering what my sentencing will end up being. Like, if I'll lose my license and all of that. One cop told me I wouldn't, another said he wasn't sure, and then someone else told me that it's automatic revocation of your license for a year. I'm just getting the run-around and am really confused. I was also told by a few people that since the cops have been messing everything up they might end up dismissing the whole case. So I don't know if that's a possibility or what.
Any advice would be great.

No, I did not hurt anyone. It was a parked car- no one was in it. My insurance bill went up 15 dollars. That's not what I'm asking.

I noticed that a lot more people seem to be doing drugs and getting only probation for DUIs lately. Is this because they think it is a way to become president?
A neighbor of mine got busted for a DUI a little while back, he said he went into a diversionary program to avoid the conviction going on his record, would his insurance find out about this and raise his rates? Or since there is no conviction would they not find out. I know it's weird for caring, but this little legal things intrigue me...

So, basically you're saying that insurance will be unaffected because they'll never know? Despite the diversionary program he also had a 90 day mandatory DMV suspension, does that change anything?
Ken, so are you saying you think the insurance will find out? Insurance apps only ask for convictions I think, which he won't have. BTW this is really not for ME, I'm 18, this neighbor of mine is 51.

I recieved a DUI on Ft Bragg when I was still part of the unit, any idea what the penalty is for this offense or what I can expect. Preferably from someone who got a DUI or knows someone who did.
Also since I have been moved to a different part of the country and my court date is coming up are they going to move the trail to my new state?
okay lets say you get pulled over for a possible dui and you ask to go to the hospital to get a blood test then you get a ticket (never go to jail) then the dmv calls you and tells you your licence is going to be suspended but you havnt been convicted of anything by any court. does the right to a quick and speedy trial apply? so basically if you dont get a trial set in 45 days does that mean that your chances of a dismissal are good... thanks ohh and i dont drink (thank God) so save the dont drink and drive comments
My brother got pulled over driving under the influence of alcohol. My car got towed away and he was taken into the drunk tank and got release the next day. Im scared he had three prior offenses two 2005 and another one in 2006 total of 6 point he took care of all the fines and did show up to court and now this. He has court on March. Please if someone knows or has pass through this situation
